American Friends of Livnot U’lehibanot

Mission: Our mission is to connect young adults to the Land and People of Israel with a positive Jewish, cultural and spiritual experience within an open, warm and friendly environment. Livnot U’Lehibanot serves as a launching point for the unaffiliated 20-something demographic to live in an immersive community building environment, which leads to community involvement post-program.

Results: Over 1,500 Livnot alumni have gone on to become active professionals throughout North American Jewish communities including Federations, Hillels, JCCs, ADL, Birthright NEXT, BBYO, synagogues, Jewish camps and day schools.

Target demographics: young Jewish adults (ages 20-30)

Geographic areas served: Tzfat (also spelled Safed)

Programs: Northern Exposure, Galilee Fellowship and Onward Israel: Ultimate Internship. All Livnot programs are based on the three pillars of meaningful community service, inspirational Jewish learning, and educational hiking adventures. Livnot U’Lehibanot offers Jewish identity-building programs without any agenda. With 34 years of experience in operating Israel service-learning programs, Livnot’s 6000+ alumni walk in all streams of Jewish life and have made significant contributions in their home communities upon return. Check out our website for more information on the life-changing impact of our programs.
